This weekend, Ben and I hopped in the car and headed to Lenoir, NC to spend some quality time with his parents and do a little early birthday celebrating. Ben will be 27 on Wednesday (getting so old) !!! We had the perfect Saturday with some of our favorite people. Saturday morning we woke up to a delicious breakfast cooked by Ben's Dad, Todd. After our stomachs were satisfied, Ben's Mom, Kathryn, and I went to have our nails done. If you know me well, you know I rarely get my nails done. I am a SERIOUS nail biter (such a bad habit) but am currently 1 month strong with no nail biting, this was cause for a celebration. The weather on Saturday was BEAUTIFUL, so Ben and I went on a brisk 3 mile run filled with lots of hills. We came home, changed and headed to Hickory for a fancy dinner at a fabulous restaurant called FOURK. If you are in the Hickory area, you must check it out and order the stuffed chicken!

On Sunday, we snuck in some outfit pics (Ben's favorite part of the week). How cute is this Topshop for Nordstrom skirt. I love the retro floral print! After an hour of torture for Ben, we drove up the mountain to Asheville to meet my mom for lunch. We have a few fun trips planned the next couple of weekends and my Mom and Dad are kind enough to watch our dog Cooper. They have a huge backyard and Cooper loves playing with their dog Boulder. Ben and I were pretty excited about a couple weeks of freedom and less responsibilities, so we celebrated with ice cream!
