It's that time of year again, friends! The best sale of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here. I love shopping the Nordstrom sale and feel that it definitely lives up to all of the hype.

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale?

If you are unfamiliar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, it's Nordstrom's only sale of the year where they put a huge selection of Fall trends on sale for a limited period of time. I know it sounds crazy to be thinking about Fall pieces in the middle of the Summer, but it's a great opportunity to get some of the hottest Fall pieces at a major discount. These are not last year's pieces, they are brand new pieces from the upcoming Fall season that are discounted up to 40%. That is such a HUGE deal and something I look forward to every year.

When can I shop the sale?

Early access for Nordstrom cardholders starts on Thursday, July 14th and then the sale opens to the public on July 22nd. You want to make sure that you are signed up to be a Nordstrom cardholder so that you can shop the sale before all of the best items sell out. Trust me, the best items will sell out, and they will sell out fast. I use the Nordstrom debit card and love that it drafts directly out of my bank account, that way I never have to worry about any hidden fees. When you shop with the Nordstrom card, you receive points and those points turn into Nordstrom Notes (almost like gift cards). You can sign up to be a Nordstrom cardholder here!

What should I buy?

This is definitely the easy question! I always like to save my money and stock up on a few staple pieces for Fall. The Nordstrom Sale is the perfect time to buy a great pair of booties, a leather jacket or a Fall handbag. I know that this year, I will be on the hunt for a great jacket. We have a few trips planned for the Fall/Winter and I am hoping I can find a few great pieces in advance. I will also be looking for new workout clothes, possibly a new pair of Nike's, and a few sweaters for Fall.
