Moving to a new city comes with new hobbies (especially cities that celebrate the outdoors as much as Seattle) and new hobbies require new gear. If you know my husband Ben, you know he is the king of gear. Ben and I have been loving exploring our new city by foot and have been enjoyed going on runs whenever possible. I have been a long time fan of Brooks Running shoes and was thrilled to find out they were a local Seattle brand and even more excited to get Ben and I set up with some new gear for our daily Seattle runs.

Lets chat shoes. Ben and I are each wearing the amazingly comfortable and durable Cascadia 12. The Cascadia 12 is the ultimate trail running shoe. Brooks has improved the Cascadia 12 model to be more flexible and help you remain agile on the trail. Trust me when I tell you how comfortable these shoes are. Ben and I both feel like we could run for days in these babies. Being the self proclaimed fashionista that I am, the fun colors make them even better and I feel happier every time I slip them on.

We all know the weather in Seattle can be unpredictable and that's where the LSD Running Jacket comes in handy. The lightweight, windproof and water resistant jacket gives you the freedom to run in any sort of weather that mother nature decides to throw at you. Both of our favorite feature of the jacket is that if the weather happens to change (hopefully to bright sunshine) it packs up into its own pocket and can be carried on your arm hands-free. We both opted for the black color to let our shoes do all the talking.
