THE EDGEWATER HOTEL: SEATTLE, WA
From the moment we walked into the lobby at The Edgewater Hotel for our quick staycation, we were greeted with smiling faces and exceptional service, and it lasted until we stepped out the door the next day. I was initially attracted to The Edgewater for its incredible views, but I will return for the overall amazing experience.
We were lucky enough to enjoy a room overlooking Elliott Bay with a view of Mount Rainier. We live just a few blocks from the hotel, but it felt like we were miles away. Being on the water was so relaxing and peaceful, and I loved watching the boats pass by our window. Our room had a cozy fireplace that I took full advantage of lounging beside it after a hot bath in the CLAWFOOT TUB. The fact that our room had a clawfoot tub took it to a whole other level. The room was so cozy and had a lodge feeling about it that I loved.
After a few hours relaxing in our room we headed down to the hotel's restaurant Six Seven for a delicious dinner. On our first ever trip to Seattle, our friends took us to The Edgewater to show us one of their favorite brunch spots, Six Seven Restaurant. I had been dying to try it out since then and was really excited for dinner. We were so excited to be seated right by the window for the main attraction: the sunset. The sunset was seriously breathtaking! I don't know about y'all, but I just have this thing for sitting by the water, I love it. The ambiance of the restaurant was outstanding and the food and drinks were incredible. I had the filet and ben had the Salmon and both were delicious. My mouth is watering just remembering that delicious cheesecake we shared for dessert! I will be back sometime soon to give their famous brunch a try.
With extremely full bellies, we retreated to our room for the evening and slept soundly in the comfy bed. We were rested, rejuvenated and ready to tackle the week. My vote is that everyone needs a staycation every now and again and The Edgewater Hotel is the perfect place for it.
If you are visiting Seattle for the first time, a stay at The Edgewater Hotel would be the perfect choice. It is the only hotel built right on the water and will give you the true Seattle experience with its convenience to all the major attractions. I couldn't recommend it more.
