MOUNTAIN GETAWAY PACKING GUIDE WITH EXPRESS

I am so excited to be teaming up with Express today to share my packing tips for a weekend getaway to the mountains.
Memorial Day has come and gone and Summer is right around the corner! From here on out out we can expect to see bare shoulders, lots of sunshine, days spent by the water and a calendar full of weekend getaways! If the mountains are on your list, i'm here to help you pack!
Skip the LWD and go for the LWR! I know we all love a little white dress. After all, it is the epitome of Summer and looks great with a tan (which hopefully we all get a jumpstart on this weekend). In my opinion, it can be overdone, so this weekend I’m opting for the little white romper instead. The eyelet detail and fun knot back on this Express romper is adorable and will definitely make you stand out in a crowd.
Pack the perfect pair of pants! Temperatures tend to be a bit chillier in the evenings in the mountains so I’m packing a few pieces that will keep me warmer. This fun striped pair screams MDW and feels extra patriotic. The vertical stripes and wide leg hem are super flattering and even make me (i’m only 5’1) look like I have legs for days. Express also has AMAZING fitting jeans and a pair or two will definitely be making their way into my suitcase.
Stick to the basics! I am definitely not the most organized person in the world, but it does help me to plan out each of my outfits before I leave for a trip. Mother nature somehow always has a way of throwing me for a loop when i’m traveling, and I find that packing basic pieces helps me navigate my way around those unexpected situations. It’s so much easier to put together outfits when you have pieces that go with everything. This lightweight white tank could literally go with any bottom that I am bringing with me. It’s the perfect fabric and is definitely a piece I will reach for again and again.
Now that I’m all packed and sure to be looking extra fabulous thanks to Express, i’m ready for a weekend of fun in the sun!
